The Artist Credit Is Officially Confirmed
Pokémon's Day & Night Ultra-Premium Collection listing states that each version includes a day- or night-themed Pikachu ex promo illustrated by YOSHIROTTEN. The announced launch is 6 November 2026. As of this article's 13 October source-check date, these are upcoming products.
The Day collection features Espeon ex, while Night highlights Umbreon ex. If your collection follows an illustrator or a visual theme, the Pikachu promos provide a different collecting objective from chasing random booster pulls.
Do Not Mix Three Different Pikachu Ideas
The standard ETB description says each regular anniversary booster contains a Pikachu, with 30 unique Pikachu rare variations to collect. The Ultra-Premium listing separately describes its supplied Pikachu ex promo.
A themed promo and a booster-pack variation should therefore have separate checklist entries. The same Pokémon appearing on both does not make the two categories interchangeable. Nor does the quoted product wording establish that a promo must be counted as one of the thirty regular-pack variations.
Choose One Theme or a Pair
For a focused art collection, decide whether one preferred theme is enough or whether you want both advertised Pikachu promo designs. A paired collection is a personal scope choice, not a universal rule that makes a single version incomplete.
Use the official images and the printed card details to distinguish the copies. If buying loose promos after launch, ask for photographs of the actual front and back. Do not substitute a familiar Pikachu ex from another product because a seller's title says only anniversary Pikachu.
Understand What Comes with the Artwork
Each announced collection includes a Pikachu ex foil promo and an Espeon ex or Umbreon ex foil promo, plus a playmat, sleeves, deck box, metal coin and dice. It also contains 29 standard anniversary boosters and one Classic Collection booster with three cards.
Buying both versions therefore purchases two large bundles, not just a pair of Pikachu cards. Compare the complete delivered cost with your collecting goal. Loose-promo availability and prices after launch are not guaranteed, but they are worth researching if the artwork is your only objective.
Avoid Unsupported Rarity and Grade Claims
The official listing confirms the artist credit and product inclusions; it does not supply a print run, a guaranteed high grade or an investment forecast. Keep those distinctions visible in your collection notes.
For preorder considerations, read the existing Day and Night product preview. For a wider illustrator-led project, use our official-reference collection guide. Neither approach requires inventing future resale values to justify enjoying the art.
