Deck Crafter’s Collection: What the October 2026 Pokémon TCG Product Is For

The upcoming Meowth ex and Trainer-card collection explained: confirmed contents, who it suits, and why it is not a complete sixty-card deck.

A Toolkit Rather Than a Finished Deck

The Deck Crafter’s Collection is scheduled for 23 October 2026, according to Pokémon’s October product roundup. Its purpose is to combine useful cards with your existing collection, either to start building a deck or improve one you already own.

The confirmed contents are one foil Meowth ex, 39 tournament-ready Trainer cards, a Deck Crafter’s Guide, nine labelled dividers, and one Pokémon TCG booster pack. That means forty supplied deck-building cards, not a fixed sixty-card deck that is immediately ready to play.

Why Trainer Cards Matter

New players often focus on favourite Pokémon while overlooking the cards that make a strategy function. Supporters, Items, and Pokémon Tools can help a deck find resources or support its central plan. The usefulness of any individual staple still depends on the actual card text, your strategy, and the current rules.

This collection is a way to acquire a group of ingredients, not a promise that all thirty-nine Trainers belong in every deck. Read the supplied list and guide before treating it as an upgrade package.

Who Should Consider It?

A beginner who has Pokémon cards but few useful Trainers may find this more purposeful than buying random packs. An established player should compare the contents with cards already owned. If you only need a small number of specific copies, singles may be a more focused purchase.

A collector interested mainly in Meowth ex should inspect the exact foil card and identifier. Do not assume it is exclusive, uniquely rare, or a different artwork without checking the final official listing.

Plan Your First Build

  1. Choose a main Pokémon strategy rather than mixing unrelated favourites.
  2. Check the complete Trainer list and the number of copies supplied.
  3. Work out which Pokémon, Energy, and remaining cards you still need.
  4. Follow the rules for a legal sixty-card deck and the format you intend to play.
  5. Practise, then change cards based on how the deck performs.

The nine dividers can help organise categories, but they do not correspond to nine finished decks. The bonus booster is a random addition, not a dependable source of your missing strategy cards.

Buying Before Release

As of 13 October, this is an upcoming product. Confirm local dispatch dates and preorder terms. Avoid judging value from an advertised future singles price: the delivered product and real completed sales are better evidence once available.
